1. Regularly Check the Lubrication System

The gyratory crusher's lubrication system is crucial to its proper operation. Poor lubrication can lead to increased wear of key components such as bearings and gears, and even cause equipment failure. Therefore, regularly check the lubricant oil quality and oil level to ensure proper functioning of the lubrication system.

Check the lubricant oil for cleanliness and the presence of impurities or water.

Replace the lubricant oil regularly, generally every 3-6 months, depending on equipment usage and lubricant quality.

Check the lubrication lines for unobstructed flow and leaks.

2. Check Fasteners

Gyratory crushers generate significant vibration during operation, which can easily loosen fasteners such as bolts and nuts. Therefore, regularly check and tighten all bolts, especially those in key areas such as the crushing chamber, frame, and transmission.

Use a torque wrench to tighten to the specified torque value, avoiding overtightening or undertightening.

Check the integrity of elastic components such as springs and gaskets, and replace them if necessary.

Checking Liner Wear

The liner of a gyratory crusher comes into direct contact with the material and is susceptible to wear. Excessive liner wear can affect crushing efficiency and even damage the equipment. Therefore, regularly check liner wear and replace severely worn liners promptly.

Check liner thickness and replace if wear exceeds the allowable limit.

When replacing liners, ensure the proper clearance between the liner and the crushing chamber to ensure optimal crushing performance.

3. Check the Drive System

The drive system of a gyratory crusher, including the motor, belt, and coupling, is critical to its proper operation. Regularly check the working condition of the drive system to ensure proper operation.

Inspect the belt for wear, looseness, or slippage, and adjust or replace if necessary.

Check the coupling alignment to ensure the motor and crusher axes are aligned.

Check the motor's operating temperature to prevent overheating.

4. Clean the Inside and Outside of the Equipment

Gyratory crushers generate a large amount of dust and debris during operation, which can easily accumulate inside the equipment and affect its normal operation. Therefore, regular cleaning of the equipment's interior and exterior is essential to keep it clean.

Clean any residual material from the crushing chamber to prevent accumulation that could affect the crushing effect.

Clean any dust and debris from the outside of the equipment to prevent dust from entering the lubrication system or other critical components.

Maintenance of a gyratory crusher is a systematic process that involves all aspects of the equipment. Through routine and regular maintenance, and standardized operation, you can effectively extend the equipment's service life, improve production efficiency, and reduce failure rates. At the same time, operators and maintenance personnel should continuously improve their professional skills to ensure the proper operation of the equipment. Only in this way can the gyratory crusher maintain efficient and stable operation in harsh working environments, creating greater economic benefits for the enterprise.
