1. Optimize Equipment Design

Select the Appropriate Jaw Plate Material

The jaw plate is the core component of the jaw crusher and comes into direct contact with the material. Choosing a highly wear-resistant, high-strength material (such as high-manganese steel or alloy steel) can extend the jaw plate's service life, reduce replacement frequency, and improve crushing efficiency.


Adjusting the Jaw Plate Tooth Profile and Structure

The jaw plate's tooth profile has a significant impact on crushing performance. A suitable tooth profile can reduce material slippage, increase crushing force, and thus improve crushing efficiency. Select an appropriate tooth profile (such as wavy or straight) based on the material's hardness and particle size requirements.


Optimize the Angle Between the Moving and Fixed Jaws

The angle between the moving and fixed jaws (i.e., the meshing angle of the crushing chamber) directly affects crushing performance. Excessively large angles can cause material slippage, while too small can cause blockage. Generally, an angle between 18° and 22° is appropriate.

Controlling the Swinging Frequency of the Moving Jaw

The swinging frequency of the moving jaw (i.e., the eccentric shaft speed) has a direct impact on crushing efficiency. Increasing the swinging frequency appropriately can increase the number of crushing operations, but excessively high frequencies may increase equipment vibration. Select an appropriate swinging frequency based on the material characteristics and equipment performance.


Ensure Uniform Feeding

Uneven feeding can cause equipment load fluctuations, affecting crushing performance. Ensure uniform material delivery to the crushing chamber by installing a vibrating feeder or adjusting the feed speed to avoid overloading or running dry.
